PFM Updates

Dear Howard University Community,
 
There will be a brief electrical power outage on Friday, Dec. 9 from 5-6:00 a.m.  PEPCO will be servicing an area feeder for routine maintenance and upgrades to the electrical distribution system. 

The following buildings could experience a momentary power outage at approximately during the identified hours of service:

  • Howard University Hospital
  • HU Parking Structures (1 & 2)
  • Cancer Research Center
  • Plaza Towers East & West 
  • Chiller Plant
  • E.E. Just Hall (Biology)
  • Bethune-Cookman Annex
  • Alain Locke Hall
  • Academic Support Buildings A & B
  • Blackburn Student Center
  • College of Dentistry
  • Seeley Mudd Building
  • Numa Adams Building

We encourage all residents, faculty, and staff to power down equipment with data or systems which may be compromised by a power surge or sudden loss of power, particularly in research laboratories. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience that this outage might cause.
